Additional courses


The majority of the 36 credit hours* of coursework must be taken at the UT GSBS at Houston. Courses with GSBS inter-institutional course codes may be taken at other UTHealth schools, or at an institution with which we have consortium arrangements (e.g., Rice University, University of Houston, or Baylor College of Medicine, etc.).

*Students who matriculated in Fall 2016 or earlier should adhere to the requirement of a minimum of 30 semester credit hours. SMS students should consult their respective program websites (Genetic Counseling or Medical Physics) for information regarding their minimum semester credit hour requirements.
