Computational Assistance and Tutorial Session – Need advice with statistical tests in your research? Want to use TCGA or other large bio-data resources, but not sure how?
Post-candidacy students in the QS program are now offering a computational assistance and tutorial session for GSBS students ONLY. This peer initiated advice session is open to students who are interested in incorporating any type of quantitative approach into their research, but are unsure of where to turn.
Quantitative Sciences Program Travel Award Application
GUIDELINES & ELEGIBILITY
Quantitative Sciences Travel awards are $500.00 each. One award will be given up to 11 Quantitative Sciences students per academic year. Each student can only receive one award per academic year. Quantitative Sciences students presenting results at a national or international meeting, or attending a course, are eligible to apply. All applications will be reviewed and decided as they are received on a first come, first-serve basis.
The purpose of the Quantitative Sciences travel award is to help defray your expenses to attend a meeting or course. The name of your advisor’s administrative assistant is requested so that they will be notified to apply the $500.00 toward your meeting or course expenses.

Copy of your meeting registration form or course registration form.
Copy of your abstract and abstract acceptance, if attending a meeting. If you have not received your abstract acceptance, or course acceptance, please list an approximate acceptance date. The award will be contingent upon such acceptance.
Lunar New Year Event

The G&E and Quantitative Sciences (QS) programs celebrate the Year of the Pig at their joint Lunar New Year networking event featuring traditional refreshments and activities. The event is organized by students Hieu Van, Xingdi Ma and Yanhong Zhou. All members of G&E and QS program labs are welcome!
