The GSBS supports its students in many ways and believes that students have the right to an education in an environment that is fair, honest and free of discrimination and harassment so that students can thrive in their educational and scientific endeavors. We take seriously any acts or reports of bias, hate, abuse, discrimination, harassment of any nature. One way of demonstrating our commitment is the GSBS Incident Reporting System. This tool provides students with a way to report anonymously any form of mistreatment they experience as a part of the GSBS including its parent institutions.
The GSBS Incident Reporting System, operated through Lighthouse, allows students to report an incident of concern that may be in violation of UTHealth HOOP policies around discrimination, harassment, bias, and other mistreatment namely HOOP Policies 39, 59, 108,109,183 and 186.
Incidents that may be reported using this system include but not limited to the following:
The GSBS Incident Reporting system is not a replacement of other institutional reporting systems but is an option for students when anonymity is critical and the incident is specific to their matriculation as a graduate student.
Please find the other support services and reporting mechanisms are available online.
If you are in crisis, please contact:
Police – 911; For non-emergency calls, contact UT Police at Houston 713-792-2890

If you want to report something specifically to the GSBS and anonymity is not required use – talk2GSBS@uth.tmc.edu
Please note – the use of the GSBS Incident Reporting system does not take the place of reporting sexual misconduct to Title IX. Any Title IX complaint received through the GSBS system will be reported to Title IX as prescribed by HOOP 59 .
