My focus is on strengthening graduate education through strategic support of training grants and fellowships. I lead initiatives that enhance students’ skills in scientific writing and grantsmanship while expanding access to external funding opportunities. I provide individualized feedback on student fellowship materials and contribute to faculty training grant development through data curation and supporting documents. My goal is to build educational resources that promote early engagement with fellowship opportunities and empower students to approach fellowship and grant applications with confidence. I am particularly interested in the integration of writing instruction and career planning into the fellowship development process. Long-term, I am working to improve fellowship success rates and ensure that funding opportunities are accessible to all trainees, regardless of background or prior experience.

Prior to this role,  my research focused on identifying novel translational approaches to treating therapeutic resistance in estrogen receptor positive breast cancer. I identified sensitivity to DNA damage inhibitors as a unique therapeutic vulnerability in metastatic breast cancer with estrogen receptor mutations as the cornerstone of my dissertation.
