My research and clinical efforts focus on the implementation, automation, and validation of high-precision radiation therapy techniques, including cranial and spine stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), high-dose-rate (HDR) brachytherapy, and automated radiotherapy quality assurance (QA). My technical expertise includes the commissioning of flattening filter-free (FFF) photon beams for stereotactic treatments, encompassing beam data acquisition, end-to-end validation, and the establishment of robust QA protocols for safe clinical use. Additionally, I have led the commissioning of the Brainlab ExacTrac image-guided positioning system, evaluating its 6D correction accuracy, imaging performance, and integration with linac-based SRS workflows. My current research involves investigating Pylinac, an open-source Python-based toolkit, for quality assurance (QA) analysis in radiotherapy. The study evaluates its application in analyzing LINAC performance and imaging QA using automated phantom-based methods, focusing on accuracy, efficiency, and reproducibility compared with conventional QA approaches. The research also explores the feasibility of integrating Pylinac into routine clinical QA workflows and its potential for automated and data-driven quality management. Overall, my work bridges clinical practice and technical innovation to enhance efficiency in advanced radiation therapy.
