Graduate School welcomes Laura Rademacher, MEd, to career development team

Laura Rademacher, MEd, has joined the Office of Student Affairs at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences as a career development program manager.

In her new position, Rademacher will manage several career development activities including helping GSBS students utilize individual development plans (IDP), reviewing resumes and CVs, and preparing students for the job market by hosting mock interviews.  She will also manage the internship program and will be planning a series of programs that will allow students to explore various careers in the biomedical sciences.

“I’m thrilled to be here at the GSBS supporting these remarkable students throughout their training and helping them to develop their career paths,” said Rademacher. “I love hearing students’ stories and am excited to find out what the future holds for each and every one of them!”

Rademacher received her MEd in higher education from Loyola University Chicago in 2010. Prior to joining the school, Rademacher was an educational programs coordinator at the Office of Public Health Practice at the UTHealth School of Public Health. In that role, she helped students and alumni develop resumes, CVs, and cover letters; and devised several tools to assist the public health students with their job search and future career plans.

 In her new position, Rademacher will manage several career development activities including individual development plans (IDP), internships, and helping out student hone their job hunting skill.
