My academic background includes Biomedical Engineering with a focus on Biomechanics, Bone, Bone Metastases, and other areas of metabolic dysfunction. We utilize an array of imaging modalities and customized equipment and software to quantify muscle functi on, bone quantity and quality, tumor burden, multi -scal e microscopy, and material testing. My research is interested in the adverse effects of cancer- and/or cancer-treatment induced musculoskeletal integrity and how these circumstances respond to the mechanical environment. Much of our analyses are derived from engineering based calculations from microCT and mechanical testing as well as biomolecular assays to further our understanding of the mechanisms governing these processes.
