My research focuses on enhancing the quality and safety of radiation therapy treatments. Specifically for breast cancer radiation therapy, I aim to improve standardization of treatment practices, including a multi-institutional evaluation of best practices for treating patients with advanced disease. Additionally, I am currently assessing a new treatment delivery methodology and exploring toxicity metrics for breast cancer patients undergoing reirradiation. On the quality and safety front, I am investigating the link between staff burnout, errors, and overall safety. Additionally, I use prospective risk analysis to inform the development of safety and quality metrics.
