Event Description
The UTHealth Houston Office of Benefits team will host its first in-person Annual Employee Benefit Fair since the pandemic, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, in the atrium area of the Fayez S. and Susan K. Sarofim Research Building.
The event is open to all active and retired employees, and is an opportunity to ask providers questions. The event will also include fun games with prizes.
Parking is available at University Center Tower (UCT), 7000 Fannin St., for $12 for up to six hours. Attendees may also utilize the UTHealth Houston shuttle service, which has a drop-off directly in front of the Sarofim Research Building. An institutional badge is required to ride, and a web-based tracking system for the shuttles is available online. The building is also near the METRO Texas Medical Center Transit Center.
Vendors include:
- Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas
- Progyny, a new fertility vendor
- Airrosti, a provider that diagnose and treat most joint pain and problems
- Express Scripts, UT System’s prescription coverage provider
- Delta Dental, UT System’s dental insurance provider
- Superior Vision, UT System’s vision insurance provider
- Social Security Administration
- Retirement vendors:
UTHealth Houston employee resources including Employee Assistance and Well-being Programs, the UTHealth Houston wellness team, and the benefits office will also be on hand. The University of Texas Houston Retiree Organization (UTHRO), the university’s retirement group, will also be at the event.
Come meet with our benefits staff, partner vendors, and insurance carriers to learn more about the upcoming changes for the next plan year.
The annual enrollment period will be from Friday, July 15, through Sunday, July 31.
The new plan year begins Sept. 1.
