The Neuropsychiatry Program (NPP) develops basic and clinical research aiming to understand the neurobiological basis of behavioral syndromes (e.g. apathy, depression), especially in the context of neurodegenerative diseases, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and Huntington’s diseases. Among putative pathophysiological mechanisms, the NPP is particularly interested in investigating the role played by immune and/or inflammatory mechanisms. We combine comprehensive clinical phenotyping, blood-based biomarker measurement, and neuroimaging techniques to identify biomarkers of neurobehavioral syndromes in humans.
