My passions are centered around elevating the academic experience of graduate students, particularly in the realm of academic advising. I take pride in guiding individuals as they navigate the intricacies of constructing purposeful educational and research plans that align with their scientific aspirations and future career goals. Drawing from my background in teaching and research within the biosciences, I am well-equipped to facilitate their growth and development.
Additionally, I am keenly interested in designing and implementing courses and teaching modules that foster deep learning in the biomedical sciences, sharpen problem-solving abilities, boost confidence in presenting research findings, and cultivate a sense of community among peers. My research pursuits have been focused on unraveling signal transduction mechanisms that underlie the perception and response to diverse environmental stressors, ultimately seeking to bolster the fertility and survival of organisms.
