I am interested in translational and clinical research in the areas of hematopoietic neoplasms such as MDS, AML, MPN and CML. Using cytogenetics, next-generation sequencing and other molecular tools, we have made significant contributions to the field of leukemia research (Blood, 2016, PMID: 27006386; Leukemia, 2020, PMID: 32099038; Blood Cancer Journal, 2020, PMID: 32848129).
One of my recent research projects focuses on iron metabolism and MDS. We aim to explore the genetic and molecular pathways underlying dyserythropoiesis and anemia in MDS, with the ultimate goal of identifying potential therapeutic targets for anemia for MDS patients.
