My interests focus on academic advising and enhancing the overall learning experience of graduate students. I assist students in their growth and development by helping them construct meaningful educational and research plans compatible with their scientific aspiration and future career goals. This is made possible through my experience in teaching and research in biosciences. I am also interested in the development and implementation of courses and teaching modules that enhance the knowledge of students in biomedical sciences, hone their problem-solving skills, enhance their confidence in presenting their research work, while at the same time help them build connection and form strong community among their peers. Scientifically, my research experience was focused on identifying and understanding signal transduction mechanisms involved in sensing and responding to various environmental stress responses in an effort to enhance organismal fecundity and survival.
