Jennifer Price, MBA, MHRM, is the program manager of Faculty Affairs at the Graduate School, where she oversees multiple committees and ensures the Faculty Affairs department runs efficiently. In her spare time, Jennifer takes on DIY projects and reads memoirs.

What do you do day-to-day in your role?

My day-to-day varies depending on the time of year, but I am mainly responsible for keeping the Faculty Affairs department running efficiently. I oversee various committees, including the Membership and Executive Committees, as well as the biannual faculty meetings. I also handle updates to faculty profiles, both on the Graduate School website and in the faculty database.

What projects are you working on?

Faculty Affairs is currently planning the New Faculty Orientation in October. This event introduces new faculty members to the school and provides information on our policies and procedures. It also includes a networking luncheon with first-year students.

What excites you the most about working for the Graduate School?

I am delighted to be part of a group with the primary goal of student development and wellness. It’s rewarding to see the connections that students, faculty, and staff make with each other.

What hobbies do you have outside of work?

Most of my free time is spent with my family. However, I enjoy doing DIY projects during my ‘me’ time. I also like to binge-watch movies and read memoirs.

What skills do you find most valuable in your work?

I am able to stay composed during chaotic times. At any given moment, I have several projects scheduled at once. This is when my ability to stay calm and prioritize each task becomes useful, along with the support of Graduate School team members.

Do you have a favorite memory at the Graduate School?

Several good memories center around assisting staff members with student orientation, interviews, Commencement, Graduate Student Research Day, and more. I am glad to be part of this awesome team!
