The Court group includes graduate students, programmers, research assistants and faculty (total around 20 full-time members), all focused on different aspects of the Radiation Planning Assistant. This is a project to improve access to high-quality radiation therapy plans in low- and middle-income countries. Specifically it involves the use of artificial intelligence (deep learning) and other approaches to fully automate all aspects of the radiation therapy treatment planning process, including contouring, traditional planning (2D, 3D) and advanced planning (IMRT, VMAT).
For students looking for tutorial projects: We typically offer 2-3 tutorials each semester, with a range of projects related to the Radiation Planning Assistant.
