My interests focus on providing support to students to promote positive learning experiences and
academic success. Through academic advising, I help students discover how to incorporate their
individual interests and goals into a long-term plan and to achieve the milestones required by their
degree program. In my role as a 504 coordinator, I also help students that request accommodations
develop individualized academic plans to ensure that they have the tools they need to thrive in the
classroom and at the lab bench.

Scientifically, my prior research experience was focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms
that underlie the soring and degradation of a specific protein in the endocytic pathway. I also studied
the expression of bacterial virulence factors in response to mechanical stimuli.
