I am a genetic counselor and clinical instructor at MD Anderson and I primarily see patients in a satellite clinic and community hospital setting. My research has focused on the utilization of genetic testing in clinical settings, particularly exploring consistency across different medical specialties and adherence to national genetic testing guidelines. I am interested in research projects that address the application of genetic testing guidelines and adherence to screening and risk management recommendations for particular hereditary cancer syndromes. I am also interested in exploring professional issues in genetic counseling, such as diversity and inclusion, expansion of genetic counselor accessibility, and student education and recruitment.
