The Office of Career Development is here to serve all current GSBS students and alumni! We take an educated, individualized approach to serving our stakeholders and strategically developing and implementing new programs and resources that support the training of our students and prepare them for the next steps in their career.

Prospective Students

The MD Anderson Cancer Center UTHealth Houston Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Office of Career Development offers a wide array of services including:

  • Individual advising appointments to focus on career development, internships, review of career documents, and more.
  • An internal library of resources to assist in the job search and career exploration. Resources include items specific to diverse populations, various career paths, and different degree programs.
  • Wealth of career development programs within the graduate school and the larger Texas Medical Center and Houston regions. Student groups often partner with the Office of Career Development to host career related workshops and seminars on different topics.
  • Elective courses for both master students and doctoral students on career development and fellowship proposal development.
