Research in my lab is primarily focused in computed tomography (CT). My primary interest is how to enhance quantitative CT for improved staging and response assessment of the oncologic patient. This can be accomplished with advanced acquisition techniques such as dual-energy CT or superior reconstruction techniques that improve noise, contrast and detail. Alternatively, identification of a new biomarker or improved characterization of an existing one could better elucidate disease changes.
