My research is concerned with enhancing the sensitivity of MRI and reducing the time required for image acquisition. This is achieved through novel signal encoding and processing algorithms, detector design, fabrication, and characterization, and pulse sequence programming. The implementation of these developments improves our ability to characterize tissues and response to therapy.

Depending on student interests, a tutorial under my advisement could provide experience with many aspects of MRI experimentation. The student could be involved in novel detector design and/or characterization, protocol development, image acquisition, image analysis, or combinations thereof.
