Much of my research involves radiation therapy for lung cancer, machine QA, and treatment planning. Lung cancer is challenging to treat because of respiratory motion, so we are often looking at better ways to either minimize tumor motion or treat it while it is moving. Much of my time is also spent evaluating new software and how it can be best utilized in our clinic. This software can include anything from machine QA software to new treatment planning software to tools to help increase efficiency of treatment planning.
