My current main research interests lie in Bayesian adaptive clinical trial designs, default and nonparametric Bayesian methods, and mediation analysis. My current focus in the area of Bayesian adaptive design is on mechanism-based designs, by systematically exploiting biological and pharmacological mechanisms of the drug effects in the design of early phase clinical trials. I am interested in developing default Bayesian methods for mixed-effects models, particularly on default priors for variance components. I am also interested in the application or extensions of existing Bayesian nonparametric methods. Finally, I am interested in the development of mediation analysis methods.
