This page is designed to support GSBS faculty in identifying funding opportunities for their students and serves as a hub for data requests to the GSBS for training grants. As part of our commitment to fostering student success and supporting faculty research endeavors, we aim to centralize resources and have begun new efforts to streamline the collaborations between the GSBS and our faculty in completing training grants.

Fellowship and Grant Support for Students

  • Internal Funding Opportunities for Students

GSBS offers several internal award and fellowship opportunities through Fall and Spring application cycles to support the research and professional development of our graduate students. Visit our internal funding page for more details and application deadlines.

  • External Funding Opportunities for Students

We provide a wide variety of support for students applying to external fellowships. These opportunities span a variety of disciplines and are aimed at supporting research excellence and career advancement. Explore our external funding page to find opportunities that align with your students' goals and identify GSBS resources for development of student applications.

The GSBS is committed to supporting faculty in their efforts to secure training grant funding. Please see our support offerings below.

Data Table Support for Training Grants

Please review our Training Grant Data Table Checklist for details on available GSBS support for data tables.

In order to document and track data requests we ask the responsible training grant faculty or training grant administration team complete the Training Grant Intent to Apply survey. This survey ensures compliance with federal and state regulations regarding student information-related data requests. We ask you complete this survey at least 4 weeks in advance of your internal submission date to ensure timely and accurate completion of your data request.

Additional Training Grant Support

We also offer a range of support services for non-data table elements of training grants. Requests for this support may also be specified utilizing the Training Grant Intent to Apply survey.

Additional support includes, but is not limited to:

  • Document review of Training Plans
  • Templates and drafts for Letters of Support from the Graduate School
  • One-on-one meetings with our Program Manager, Training Grants and Fellowships to discuss training grant development strategies and opportunities.
